RHS Juniors, Grace Hand and Gage Mitchusson were announced as two winners among finalists for the Laclede Electric Youth Tour Essay Contest held at the judging banquet on April 10, 2019. Their essays were chosen out of 174 essays submitted from eight surrounding schools. Grace and Gage presented their essays for judging with nine other finalists.  Both were chosen as two of the four finalists to attend Laclede Electric's Youth Tour, an all-expense-paid trip to Washington D.C. in June. These students will join approximately eighty high school juniors from all across Missouri along with the other 1,500 students from across the country for a tour of the nation’s capital. They will visit The White House,  tour museums, visit America’s most cherished monuments and even meet their elected officials. In addition, they will learn about electric cooperatives and their role in the community. Congratulations to Grace and Gage!
