A reminder that today, Wednesday, June 23rd, is the last day of summer school. Thank you to all our students who attended and to the teachers and staff who worked this summer. Everyone have a great summer break and we will see you in August. GO BEARS!!
Richland R-IV will dismiss classes tomorrow, Friday, June 18th. Our U.S. Congress and the President of the United States have enacted June 19th as a federal holiday, Juneteenth, to be observed this year on Friday, June 18th.
This day will not be made up on the summer school schedule this year, but, we will develop our calendar to include it for summer school in 2022.

JH/HS Girls Basketball will have open gym on Thursday, June 3rd. The HS girls will be from 2:30-4:00 and JH girls 4:00-5:30 at Richland High School. Further information will be provided at that time.
Tomorrow is the 1st day of summer school. School is from 745-245. Enrollment is still open. Please be at your bus stop 10 minutes before your scheduled time. We can’t wait to see you!!!
If your child is eligible for free or reduced price meals, you are eligible for the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (EBB Program). This also includes Community Eligibility Provision school students, for which Richland Elementary is a member. The EBB Program is a temporary federal program to help eligible households pay for internet service during the pandemic. The EBB Program provides a monthly discount of not more than $50 per month on broadband service and associated equipment (for example, a modem) for eligible households and not more than $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Each participating household may also be reimbursed up to $100 for one connected device. Baseball district shirts have arrived and are available to pick up at the high school office until 4:15, then they will be available to pick up at the baseball field! Thank you to everyone that ordered.
Come out and support the RHS baseball team this evening at 5:30 in the sectional round against the Gainesville Bulldogs. Tickets need to be purchased at www.MSHSAA.org. There will be no onsite ticket sales. We hope to see you at the ball field!
Please welcome our new High School Math teacher, Mrs. Sarah Hall. Mrs. Hall grew up in Park Hills, MO and is a 2008 graduate from Central High School. She graduated from Drury University in Springfield in 2011and just finished her 10th year of teaching high school math. She's been married for 6 years and has an almost 3 year old son. Her husband is the new girls basketball coach next season. They are both excited to join the Bears family. Welcome to Richland, Mrs. Hall!
UPDATE: Due to the sectional baseball game Monday night, Coach Hall will meet with the JH/HS girls (incoming 6th-12th graders) who are interested in playing basketball next season on Tuesday, May 25, at 7:00pm in the high school gym. Please welcome our new Richland Junior High/High School Counselor, Mrs. Couri Shepard. Mrs. Shepard is a homegrown Richland graduate from the class of 2009. After she graduated high school, she went on to get her degree in Sociology at Southwest Baptist University. Later, she pursued an alternate route to my teaching certification. She's taught ELA for four years at the high school and middle school levels in the Stoutland and Waynesville school districts. Mrs. Shepard says she is beyond excited to join the team and build relationships with Richland students. Welcome to the Bear community, Mrs. Shepard!
Bear Fans: Richland will be hosting the baseball sectional round game against Gainesville on Monday, May 24 at 5:30. There will be no onsite ticket sales.
