New By-law regarding physicals: MSHSAA now allows a physical exam certified by a medical professional (MD/DO/ARNP/PA/Chiropractor) to be valid for a duration of 2 years from date of issue. Example: A physical that was received 5/29/18 is now valid through 5/28/20. So if an athlete has a valid physical from last year, they will be exempt this year. If you did not get a physical last year, you must get one. Also, any incoming 6th grader participating in a sport, must obtain a physical. While the MSHSAA PPE Form is now valid for a two year period from the date of the physical examination, all other pre-participation documents must still be completed annually for every student athlete. These forms are available in the high school office or on the MSHSAA website.
