I want to apologize for miscommunication on WCC tomorrow. As High School principal that falls on me. Here is how tomorrow will work: 1. The bus will be available for WCC students to go, especially those needing hour (cosmetology). 2. If a student is absent the absence will not count against their Richland attendance. Therefore, this will not have an impact on eligibility for tomorrow’s BB game. If a student misses WCC, they will be able to play/practice. 3. If you have any questions please email me at scallis@richlandbears.us. I will do a better job of communicating this to students in the future. We look forward to seeing all students back on Tuesday.

School is not in session tomorrow January 3 for students at Richland R-IV. However, WCC IS in session. WCC students need to be at the Richland High School by 8:10 am.

The JV Lady Bears basketball team will play in the lLicking Tournament on Tuesday, January 11 and Saturday, January 15th. The Lady Bears play at 5:30 on the 11th against Mansfield. Good luck ladies!

The Bears basketball team will play in the Battle in Bourbon 3rd Annual Invitational January 3-7. The Bears are the one seed, they will play Viburnum on the 3rd at 4:00. Bus leaves at 2:00. Good luck Bears!

Our JV and Varsity Bears basketball team will be in action Monday night (the 20th) starting at 5:00 at home against Crocker. Come out and support the Bears, this will be their last game until after the holidays! Good luck boys!

What an exciting night of basketball games at Climax Springs. Lady Bears varsity wins 57-38 and Bears varsity wins 50-48. The JV boys lost 27-21 (2 quarters).

Statement on National Social Media Threat to Schools: Parents, students, faculty and staff of Richland R-IV School District, School leaders throughout the nation received communication regarding some non-credible school based threats that are circulating on a social media platform. Our district always takes any threat of violence seriously and works with our local police department. This is not a threat made toward the Richland School District. Please contact your student's building principal or myself with any questions.
